Addie's Rule

When you multiply any number by 2, the answer will be double the other number.

Ex:   10 x 2 = 20,   4 x 2 = 8

Megan's Rule

You can switch the factors around and still get the same product.

Ex:   4 x 3 = 12  and 3 x 4 = 12.

John's Rule

Multiply any number by 5 and the answer will end with a 0 or 5.

Ex:   5 x 3 = 15,    5 x 8 = 40

Tyler's Rule

If any number is multiplied by 10, the product will be a number with an 0 at the end.

Ex: 4 x 10 = 40,   70 x 10 = 700

Graham' s Rule

In the 9 times table, all numbers in the product add up to 9.

Ex:   2 x 9 = 18 (1 + 8 = 9),   5 x 9 = 45 (4 + 5 = 9)

Bianca's Rule

Ex:   3 x 11 = 33,    9 x 11 = 99,    7 x 11 = 77

Brit's Rule

Any number multiplied by 12 is equal to 10 times the number plus twice the number.

Ex:  6 x 12 = 6 x 10 + 6 x 2

6 x 12 = 60 + 12

6 x 12 = 72
